01 / The question
Does the documentation match the plant?
The June–August 2024 internship at Grifols Canada involved work during the launch of a plasma-processing plant and preparations for regulatory audits.
02 / The intuition
A mechanism worth testing.
A technical drawing and an installed system need to describe the same reality. Field checks turn documentation into an engineering tool rather than a paper exercise.
03 / The work
Inside the method.
Explore each part of the approach.
01Read the installation
P&ID and as-built documents were compared with the plant and the records available in Procore.
02Investigate issues
The profile records maintenance coordination and investigation of glycol-cooling leaks.
03Work within the system
GMP, SOP, EHS and cleanroom training framed the work in a regulated industrial environment.
04 / The observations
What emerged.
The profile documents participation in field checks, discrepancy resolution and audit preparation. It does not claim responsibility for plant certification or regulatory approval.
This account is based on recorded project notes. Original reports, figures and datasets are not embedded here.
05 / The limits
Where the evidence stops.
Company documents and detailed plant images are not included. Any future examples need to respect what can be shared publicly.
